We offer guidance on many topics through our parenting education and support groups:

Parenting: Support for the Journey Ahead

Parenting brings both joys and challenges. If you’re navigating the options of an unplanned pregnancy, you may be wondering if becoming a parent—or parenting an additional child—is the right choice for you. It is perfectly normal to wonder:

How do I know if I'm emotionally prepared to parent a child?

What are the financial responsibilities involved in raising a child?

How will pregnancy impact my physical health?

You don’t have to figure out the answers to these questions alone. If you're considering parenting but feeling unsure about whether you're ready, we’re here to walk with you every step of the way.

We provide free pregnancy education, support groups, and resources that help you prepare for parenting. You’ll find practical tools, caring guidance, and a community that believes in you.

If you determine that you are not ready to parent we can talk to you about adoption and what making an adoption plan might look like.

Considering Adoption? Get Support Along the Way

Adoption is a deeply personal decision, and it’s natural to have questions about how it works, what kind of adoption is right for you, and how it may impact your future:

  • Can I handle the emotions associated with the adoption process?

  • How will adoption affect relationships with family and friends?

  • Should I consider an open or closed adoption?

We provide a safe and confidential environment to talk through the many adoption choices and make an adoption plan that best suits you. We make referrals to reputable, vetted adoption agencies that will answer more detailed questions and provide supportive counseling with no obligation. An adoption agency will also work with you following the adoptive placement to help you make a healthy transition.

Partner Agencies:

Considering Abortion? Let’s make sure you’re informed.

If you’re thinking about abortion, the first step is to confirm your pregnancy with reliable medical information. At PSS, our medical professionals provide free pregnancy tests and limited first-trimester ultrasounds that can answer three important questions:

  • Am I really pregnant? A lab-grade pregnancy test confirms the presence of the pregnancy hormone (hCG).

  • Is the pregnancy viable? An ultrasound can confirm if there is a detectable heartbeat.

  • Is the pregnancy located where it should be? An ultrasound can ensure the pregnancy is in the uterus, not ectopic (which can be dangerous if untreated).

  • How far along am I? Knowing gestational age is critical because it impacts what options are available to you.

Having these answers empowers you to make an informed decision about your next steps.

PSS does not provide or refer for abortion services. Instead, we offer a safe, judgment-free space where you can talk honestly, ask questions, and get truthful information about abortion procedures and risks.
