Every woman deserves support, clarity, and compassion when facing an unplanned pregnancy. Since 1982, PSS has been a trusted guide in Durham and Chapel Hill offering free, confidential care and reminding women that they are not alone.
OUR MISSION
Every life valued, every pregnancy supported.
Our mission is to provide holistic, compassionate care to individuals facing unexpected and under-supported pregnancies.
We do this by:
offering free first trimester medical support for women in need,
providing material assistance, including baby clothes and supplies,
offering emotional support to help navigate uncertainty and overwhelm via educational classes and support groups, and
addressing spiritual needs through a caring, connected faith-based community.

OUR STORY
PSS began with a simple belief: that no woman should face an unplanned pregnancy alone. Over the past four decades, we’ve grown into a vibrant nonprofit supported by volunteers, churches, and community partners. Today, we provide medical, material, emotional, and spiritual care—all free and confidential—because we believe that abundant life is possible, even in unexpected circumstances.
